Firefox 4 Beta 9 Released
Mozilla has been working on Firefox 4 for quite some time and has finally released the beta 9 version. Mozilla has added support for 7 new languages for Firefox 4 bringing the total supported languages to 76. Firefox 4 is expected to officially arrive in February.
Here are the main improvements:
• The bookmarks are history code is fixed. It has reduced the startup time, and we get faster bookmarking, too.
• The feature of per-compartment garbage collection is now enabled which is going to reduce work it has to do during the complex animations. It would help with faster flash loading.
The latest beta version features:
• 662 bug fixes
• Faster start-up
• Improved bookmarking
• History functions
• IndexedDB web standard
• Smoother complex animations
• JaegerMonkey engine for JavaScript (which is very fast)
• Hardware acceleration on Windows 7 and Windows Vista using Direct X
• 76 languages support
